The key to successful dental treatment is in the planning stages. Your initial consultation will take approximately one hour, and we will explore your case history. You will have a full treatment plan prepared covering both dental and medical aspects.
We will discuss your case and consider all of the treatment options available to you, if yours is a relatively straightforward case it is possible to provide a costed Treatment Plan at the first visit. For more complex cases, where other Specialists need to be involved, it is sometimes necessary to have a second appointment which may involve the combined knowledge of more than one Specialist.
Any form of dental treatment can seem a little daunting. Our Specialist dentists have all undergone years of advanced training to enable them to achieve fantastic results, even for the most complex cases. You are in very good hands.
We have also invested in the latest technology and equipment to ensure we deliver the highest quality outcomes. Our support staff are highly trained and experienced in order to provide the best possible standard of care during and after your treatment. If you have questions at any point either prior to or during treatment, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Here is an overview of a typical patient treatment journey here at Bristol Dental Specialists:
At the first appointment, in addition to a full clinical examination, we will scan the inside of the patient's mouth using our digital scanner which allows us to produce 3D images of teeth, soft tissue, nerve pathways and bone in a single scan. We also have a Cone Beam scanner and it may be necessary to use this for additional investigation.
We will provide you with a Treatment Plan based on your wishes and concerns, the initial consultation, clinical information and any further investigations we may carry out. This Treatment Plan will include options where relevant and a clear recommendation together with an estimate of costs and length of time to complete the treatment. We will discuss the treatment plan in detail with you prior to you making a decision.
If you decide to go ahead with treatment, you will be able to sign the proposed Treatment Plan acceptance online and we will then arrange for any deposit and fee payment to be made. Alternatively, we will also progress any initial patient finance application.
Further to you formally accepting your Treatment Plan, we will plan and book the necessary appointments for the course of treatment. If any initial treatment has been agreed to be carried out by your normal dentist prior to commencement of our COT, we will liaise with them to co-ordinate timings. We will keep you informed at all times.
Once treatment is finished, we will carry out a series of specific actions designed to check everything planned has worked as intended and then confirm that your treatment is completed. This will include asking for your feedback about the treatment, our care and your overall experience.
To ensure long-term success of the treatment, we will discuss the importance of ongoing regular check-ups and conscientious oral hygiene with your regular dentist. In the rare event of post-treatment complications, we guarantee that you will receive remedial care as a priority.
