Following her graduation from Cardiff university with a degree in Dentistry, Rachel completed several hospital posts and worked in general practice gaining a breadth of knowledge and experience. She also gained a membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh).
In 2012, Rachel was awarded a prestigious International Team for Implantology Scholarship position with the University of Geneva. Following this, she was appointed as dental faculty staff and completed Speciality training in Prosthodontics in Switzerland over a full-time training period of 4 years. Whilst in Geneva, Rachel completed a Masters research thesis on dental adhesion to zirconia (a dental ceramic material) and has published articles in peer-reviewed dental journals.
Rachel worked in several Swiss private practices during her 7 years. She was awarded UK membership in Prosthodontics by the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and registered a Specialist on the General Dental Council Specialist list. Benefiting greatly from her time in Switzerland, her focus is on minimally invasive adhesive dentistry using the latest digital dental technology. This gives excellent results without unnecessary removal of healthy tooth tissue.
Rachel’s main clinical interests include the treatment of hypodontia (missing teeth), tooth-wear and provision of implant supported dental prosthodontics.
In her spare time Rachel enjoys yoga, reading and cooking new recipes with varying success!
